First, all the Bards would like to take this chance to tell Poet Share members what talent they have. It is hard to narrow between so many wonderful poets and poems down to just three. Were there a way, we would love to give our awards to everyone because everyone deserves an award.. Politicians, celebrities, the man on the street--everyone seems to be talking about "Change" these days. We've heard it from one side or the other for years. This week, write a poem about what "Change" means to you. What kind of changes would you make to the world, your life, society, or the nature of mankind? Stretch your mind and dig deep for this one!

the rushing heart, dry mouth, howling moons, crooked trees...

On Halloween, many people like to set up scary situations, spooky sounds, moving scarecrows, and more, in order to scare the dickens out of people, be it trick-or-treating children, or partying adults. Sometimes, however, these things can backfire. Write a poem about one of these practical jokes going horribly, horribly wrong!

Unfortunately, and as evidenced by the past few months' activities, I do not have the time to properly govern the use of this site anymore. While there are visitors every day, the posts by members are becoming fewer and farther between, and the staff participation is just as sparse.

It's been a busy summer for us here at Poet Share, as the sunshine has called us away more than usual. We've posted a new poetry prompt today for you summery, adventurous types.
